Frome residents are in for a spooktacular Halloween treat as local company Celestial brings its dazzling drone show to the Old Showfield on Thursday 29 October.
Running from 6pm to 8pm, the event will feature a Halloween-themed performance by the Frome-based drone specialists, who recently wowed millions of viewers as runners-up on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent 2026.
Celestial is a world-leading drone light show, and entertainment technology company based locally. As pioneers in aerial storytelling, the team uses a fleet of more than 1,000 synchronised LED drones to create breathtaking animations, characters and optical illusions in the night sky.
The drone experts have already treated locals to an extra-terrestrial extravaganza with Close Encounters of the Frome Kind in 2023, as well as the autumnal Glow in the Park event in 2021. This year, the drones will take to the skies once again for a fang-tastic Halloween-themed show, raising funds for the Frome Skatepark Project and the new skatepark at Mary Baily Playing Fields.
Before the main event, enjoy delicious food and drink from local vendors, plus entertainment for all ages.
Please note a few important details before you attend. There will be no general parking at the event, and Frome residents will be given priority booking. If possible, please walk or, if travelling by car, use the town centre car parks.
On-site parking for Blue Badge holders is very limited and must be booked in advance. Please remember to bring your badge, as attendees will be asked to present it on arrival.
As this year’s show has a Halloween theme, some elements may be spooky for younger children. Parents and carers are encouraged to use their discretion. The event will be alcohol-free; however, the cricket club will be open if you’d prefer to watch the show from there.
The event is free to attend, with a suggested donation of £5 per person. The Rotary Club of Frome will collect donations to support the new skatepark at Mary Baily. You gave so generously last time—let’s see if you can help the Frome Skatepark Project get even closer to its target.
